This project is about choosing a band (made up or real) and create a poster that promotes their upcoming show. Above is my mind map where I brainstormed all my ideas to narrow down what band and what genre I wanted to create my poster about.

After my mind map I chose to do my poster on Dan + Shay. They are a pop country band so I wanted to capture this in my poster. I was tasked with creating this poster, but I also had to incorporate a picture of my own in this poster. I do not have too many country accessories, so to overcome this obstacle I kindly asked my friend if I could borrow his boots and hat.

This is my final that I ended up with. I researched real concert posters to make my poster as realistic as possible. I decided to spoof up the venue name to give it life in my poster. I also needed to offer an incentive for people to come and check it out. That is where free food came in. I offered food because everyone likes food and free things. It was a win-win, concert goers are provided with free food and Dan + Shay would reach a new audience if the attendees are there for the food.
